Kingdom KV-L4/6 – Direct Mount EN Flanged Ball Valves (PN10-40)

KV-L4 and KV-L6 are Kingdom’s EN PN10–PN40 direct-mount flanged ball valves: KV-L4J/K/M/N (standard) and KV-L6J/K/M/N (fire-safe). ISO 5211 mounting for fast actuator fitment and full-port flow. Quote to specification.

When you’re maintaining an EN-standard plant, the fastest wins usually come from standardisation: valves that fit the flange pattern you already have, match the face-to-face length you expect, and can be automated without a custom bracket set every time.

The Kingdom EN PN10–PN40 Direct Mount range is built for exactly that. It’s a full-port, 2-piece, flanged ball valve series covering PN10, PN16, PN25, and PN40, with a built-in ISO 5211 direct mounting pad for clean actuator installation (or simple future upgrades from manual to actuated).

Model options (quick selector)

Choose standard or fire-safe, then select the PN rating code:

  • Standard type (KV-L4*): KV-L4J (PN10) / KV-L4K (PN16) / KV-L4M (PN25) / KV-L4N (PN40)
  • Fire-safe type (KV-L6*): KV-L6J (PN10) / KV-L6K (PN16) / KV-L6M (PN25) / KV-L6N (PN40)

(Code guide: J=PN10, K=PN16, M=PN25, N=PN40.)

Why teams choose direct-mount ball valves

If you’ve ever lost time fighting actuator alignment, couplers, or “it fits but it binds,” you already know the value of a clean mounting interface. Kingdom specifies a built-in ISO 5211 mounting pad, which is designed to reduce extra mounting hardware and make automation packages more straightforward. For maintenance managers, that typically means: cleaner shutdown workpacks (fewer bits and pieces), quicker actuator swaps, less risk of misalignment-driven torque and sticking issues.

Key features (translated into real-world value)

Full port (full bore) helps avoid turning a line into its own restriction. It’s the simplest way to reduce the risk of post-change complaints about flow and pressure drop.

Anti-static device (ball–stem–body) supports electrical continuity — a common requirement in certain hazardous-area or hydrocarbon duties.

Blow-out proof stem is a safety-minded design detail that helps reduce severity in abnormal pressure scenarios and supports safer maintenance culture.

Pressure balance hole in the ball slot is listed to help manage pressure effects at the ball/seat interface, which can support smoother operation and reduce “stiff valve” callouts in some services.

TA-Luft / ISO 15848-1 design approval is relevant for sites focused on leak reduction and fugitive emissions expectations — fewer persistent weeps means fewer repeat work orders.

NACE MR0175 / MR0103 optional is there for when your service conditions demand it (e.g., sour duties). It provides a route to specify materials correctly rather than “best guessing” and paying for it later.

Fire-safe option (KV-L6*)

Where your site standards call for fire-safe isolation, the KV-L6* models are specified as Fire Safe design approved, with fire test references API 607 (5th edition) and ISO 10497.

That’s useful when you need the spec to stand up to engineering review, insurer expectations, or safety-case documentation — without switching to a completely different valve family.

Standards (plain-English “what this means”)

Kingdom references common EN standards to reduce uncertainty when replacing or documenting valves:

  • EN 1092-1 (Flanges) — matches EN flange drilling/dimensions across PN10–PN40.
  • EN 558 (Face-to-face) — standard end-to-end lengths to help replacements fit without pipework modifications.
  • EN 12516-1 (Design) — design rules for pressure/temperature integrity.
  • EN 12266-1 (Testing) — inspection and pressure testing expectations.
  • ISO 5211 (Mounting) — the actuator mounting interface used for direct-mount automation.

Operation & quotation (so we can price it quickly)

Kingdom lists operation by size: lever DN15–DN65, gear option DN65–DN200, and pipe handle DN80–DN200.

To quote accurately, send:
DN size + PN rating (10/16/25/40) + standard or fire-safe + body material + seat selection + media + temperature + manual/actuated (and any limit switch/positioner needs).

Send your enquiry and we’ll confirm the correct model code and a suitable configuration for your service.
